Miraclebag

Crystal clear pool water
no sand filter needed

Say goodbye to cloudy water and expensive sand filters. MiracleBag is an affordable, simple, and long-term solution.

Sounds familiar?

Don’t worry – MiracleBag has you covered. It’s the smart solution to all these pool problems.

So… what’s the miracle?

A revolutionary way to clean your pool:

MiracleBag is an innovative pool water filter that effectively removes all suspended particles from your pool – even the tiny ones that cause hazy water, like algae dust, green algae, and iron or manganese oxides.

The filter bag is made of industrial-grade material with a pore size of 1 or 5 microns, and it easily connects to a 32 mm diameter pipe stub. Its size is 100 cm x 15 cm, offering a total filter surface area of 0.3 m².

The 5-micron version performs just as well – or even better – than traditional sand filters. The 1-micron version can even trap most types of green algae, leaving your pool water crystal clear.

MiracleBag gives you a simpler, more effective, and more affordable alternative to conventional pool filter systems.

Frequently Asked Questions and Customer Photos

Everything you want to know about MiracleBag:

Filter bag made of 1 or 5-micron industrial-grade water filter material. This filter is designed to remove all suspended particles from pool water – including those that cause cloudy or hazy appearance.

It can also remove rust particles that precipitate from well water. It’s suitable for clearing algae from garden ponds too, but for that, only the 1-micron material is effective.

The word “miracle” might sound off-putting at first, given how many useless products are branded as such – but the name stays. Here, “miracle” refers to the fact that even years later, users of MiracleBag are still amazed at how much dirt it filters out of the water.

Those who avoid MiracleBag just because of the name will most likely end up buying it a few years later—once a friend recommends it to them. 🙂 That’s experience talking.

We made a video comparing the 1-micron and 5-micron filter materials.
While the 5-micron bag is cheaper and easier to clean, we now only offer the 1-micron version.

The 1-micron bag is only slightly more expensive, but it’s more effective—and you’ll be more satisfied with it.
Only the 1-micron bag can filter out green algae from the water.

5-micron bags are still available, but they are not covered by the 100% satisfaction guarantee.

The full-size bag is 1 meter long, while the half-size bag is 50 cm. With normally clean water, the half-size bag is sufficient for 4–6 m³ of water.

If possible, go for the full-size bag—it needs less frequent cleaning, is easier to rinse, and filters more thoroughly, since the water passes through the material with half the pressure.

The bag can be used for several years, so the small price difference is minimal compared to its benefits.
The half-size bag is recommended mainly for smaller water volumes, such as kiddie pools.

This valve protects the MiracleBag from overpressure. We recommend using MiracleBag with a submersible pump because of its high water output. However, as the bag starts to clog with debris, the water pressure increases and can damage the bag.

If you’re using a pump stronger than 150 watts, make sure to request the valve with your first bag. Damage caused by overpressure is not covered by the warranty.

The tube shape is the result of multiple rounds of development. While a square shape might seem more obvious—and we did produce some earlier versions like that—at the same filter surface area, a square bag holds much more water.

When the bag fills up with debris, it becomes so heavy that people with less physical strength may not be able to lift it out of the pool to clean it. You can’t pour the dirty water back into the pool just to lighten the bag, and waiting for the water to slowly drain out of a clogged bag could take several minutes.

Only the elongated shape allows the filter material behind the zipper to be layered, ensuring perfect filtration.
Without this layering, water could pass through the zipper teeth unfiltered.
Also, the long shape makes the bag much easier to clean.

The 100×15 cm bag is the most manageable size. Even when full of water, it can still be lifted out of the pool easily, and it’s not too long during cleaning, making it simpler to handle.

For larger pools or ponds, you can connect multiple bags in parallel to achieve any required filter surface area.

A larger filter bag filled with water would be so heavy that it couldn’t be lifted out of the pool.

To clean the inside of the 1-micron MiracleBag, use a strong jet of water, like from a garden hose. A weak stream or shower setting only removes dirt from the surface of the filter material, but the ultra-fine particles stay trapped between the fibers—and only a strong jet can get them out.

In the beginning, rinsing with a regular garden hose is usually enough. But over time, the pores of the filter fill up with the very fine particles the bag is meant to capture.

At that point, you’ll need to use a pressure washer to clean the bag thoroughly. Be careful and gentle when using it—too much pressure can damage or loosen the filter material.

You can expect the bag to withstand about 10 such deep cleanings.
If you wash it three times a year, it can last up to 3 years.
Of course, in many cases, it’s not the usage but the family dog that ends the bag’s life—according to feedback, most bags get chewed up by dogs. 🙂

You can read more about cleaning on the website.

If you’re not satisfied with the bag, we’ll refund the price (up to the cost of 1 bag), including the shipping fee. You don’t even have to destroy the bag—you can keep using it if you want, until you figure out the proper way to use it.
Users of my product don’t abuse this guarantee, because they’re happy with the effective filter bag. Dissatisfaction is extremely rare and usually comes from impatience.

With very dirty water, the bag can collect so much debris within 10–20 minutes that it already needs cleaning.
Sometimes people assume there’s no work involved with this bag because they’re used to only occasionally checking their paper or sand filters. But a filter’s job is to filter. If it’s doing that, it has to be cleaned.
If it doesn’t need cleaning, it’s not doing its job.
